  2. Hi Jenny, I haven't done this before. There is a discussion on the SFG forum about preventing blossom end rot. Calcium is the solution of choice. Some put eggshells (someone on another site used oyster shells) into the soil. One lady said she solved the problem by dissolving calcium supplements in the water she used to water the tomatoes. I thought I would try the pill chopped and sprinkled on the soil. I don't know if it works or not....it is all an experiment. (Thanks for the question) Debs

  3. Thanks for the answer! I had that in the two tomato plants I tried growing in pots last year, so I should go read back on the forums.
