(link) Good pre-christmas reads.

Happy Holidays
I have spent the last 8 days in bed....mostly in bed. It has been a long time since I was this sick. YUCK. I did not do any writing (or shopping or visiting) but I got a little bit of reading in. I am just happy that school is out so that I did not have to keep up with my students.

  1. Hi Rainsong,
I came here from a comment you left on another blog. I have had a cold and very little energy since a week ago Saturday. I have been sleeping quite a lot. I avoided taking a nap today in hopes to go to bed early and sleeping in. I hope you are feeling better.

I am trying to remember if I've been here before. I am a Christian, too, and work at a school as a paraeducator. It's hard being home sick, seeing all that needs to be done, and not having the energy to do it. I hope we both are able to do some things we want to do before we go back to work.

    Have a blessed new year!

  2. Have I read you at Catherine’s? Corner Gardener sounds like a blog I have visited.

Are you feeling better yet? I am up but after nine days I am slooooooow. My plan today is to do a video on winter sowing for my urban farm blog AND to get something on paper for the next Mathew 24 post. Since the guys actually cleaned the kitchen while I was sick it might just happen!

    Feel better Sue,
Debs....aka Rainsong...who can finally stand the taste of coffee again (a good sign)

  3. After we wrote each other I came to visit you here at your blog Deb and I'm just thrilled as usual with your wonderful writing! YOU are such a blessing!

I too have been very ill, but the bad head cold I had before Christmas turned into a bad chest cold and so it has been three weeks now of feeling bad, but this morning, January 2nd 2012 has begun with a sense of my body being on the upswing and finally leaving the illness behind me. Yaaaay!

I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE your new blogs/web-pages "music of the rain" about urban farming, backyard chickens and of course ALL your recipes! WoW! Thank You! Thank You! For contributing to my reading delights Miss Deb!

  4. THREE WEEKS ?!? That is WAAAAAAy too long to be sick. My hips would ache beyond belief. There were times in my 8 days that I would start to wonder if this was going to be my life but health began to trickle back and today I am feeling 86% better. Hugs to you C! Sometimes it seems like we are connected in what is going on with us.....feeling stronger every day together.
Deb (an old song from the 70's is running through my head, the band Chicago I think, "feelen stronger every day"
