First Day of Vacation, July 15

This was how we started our vacation.

A stop at the tow-lot to look at the Honda.

A call that our car had been recovered. There was not enough of it left to put it back together. Allstate paid $1,400 for it. Better than nothing but it doesn't get me back on the road. We thought we were handling the theft OK, but we were a little on the blue side at family camp. Did not even take a single picture there.

  1. I'm so sorry about your car. I know God will provide.

  2. Thanks Joy, I know you get it when I say that He has been providing. A dear cyber friend is a missionary in Thailand. He wrote to me that God never takes something away that he does not replace somewhere else in life. Sort of like the older nun in "The Sound of Music" telling Maria that whenever God closes a door he always opens a window somewhere." I want to say that it hasn't been "easy" but the truth is that it hasn't been "normal". It is a time to keep my inner eyes (of the heart, Ephesians 1:18) open to what Elohim is doing right now instead of fussing about how it used to happen for me. I am so blessed and can miss that fact when I pout about "the cucumbers of Egypt" (if that makes sense, Numbers 11:4-6). Still I must admit it is encouraging to read your words.
